With over 10 years of experience teaching young chess players, we have designed a curriculum that helps students progress from learning essential fundamentals to becoming confident tournament competitors.

Whether your child is just beginning their chess journey or already competing in tournaments, our program provides the instruction, guidance, and challenge needed for continued growth and success.

Foundations Chess Academy

For New and Developing Players

This program is designed for students who know the basic rules of chess and are ready to build a strong foundation.

Students will learn:

• Tactical patterns and combinations

• Opening principles

• Strategic planning

• Piece coordination

• Essential endgames

• Good sportsmanship and tournament readiness

Our goal is to help students move beyond simply knowing how the pieces move and begin understanding how to think strategically and make strong decisions over the board.

Tournament Preparation Academy

For Competitive and Ambitious Players

This program is designed for students who are ready for tournament competition or are actively working to improve their rating and overall performance.

Students will develop:

• Advanced tactical calculation

• Positional understanding

• Opening preparation

• Endgame mastery

• Tournament strategy

• Time management and competitive decision-making

Instruction becomes increasingly rigorous and analytical as students progress, helping them develop the skills necessary to compete successfully in rated tournaments and achieve long-term chess goals.

Within each program, students are grouped according to their current skill level and developmental needs to ensure appropriate challenge and growth.

This allows every student to receive instruction that is both engaging and effective while progressing at a pace that matches their abilities.

Our Goal

Our mission is to develop confident, disciplined, and strategic thinkers through the game of chess.

Students gain more than chess knowledge—they develop problem-solving skills, focus, resilience, patience, and critical thinking abilities that benefit them both in school and in life.

One recommendation: change "Beginners (Level 1)" to "Foundations Chess Academy." Parents generally respond more positively to "Foundations" because a child who has played for a year often does not want to be called a "beginner," even if they still need foundational instruction. It sounds more professional and aspirational while accomplishing the same purpose.
