Virginia Commonwealth Chess Kids, LLC offers weekend chess classes, after-school programs, and summer camps in Northern Virginia. We are currently holding our classes in Ashburn, Chantilly, and Herndon.

Our chess school opened in the summer of 2014 in Stone Ridge Community.

ABOUT US

Kent Slate1

Congratulations to our advanced student (online group chess) Kent Slate for winning the Under 2000 Cherry Blossom Chess Classic. Kent scored a very impressive 6.5/7 points. Kent`s newest rating is about 1955 USCF.

2021 Va Scholastic State Championship: Arjun finished 7th Place in K-8 Section!

Joseph and Chance: Chance finished 4th place and won the State Top Girl for the 4th consecutive years. Chance had represented TEAM USA in Spain back in 2018.

DMV Chess League March 2018: Srimayi and Aadarsini (both 6th graders) scored the much needed 2 victories for the VC Chess Kids: Pawn Storm team to secure the top award for the under 1600 section.

DMV Chess League March 2018: The 3 VC Chess Girls competing in the DMV Chess League and won the 1st Place in the Under 1600 section. The 3 girls are Diya Deepak, Srimayi Merugu, and Aadarisini Murugan Ayyapan all 6th graders.

DMV Chess League March 2018: Srimayi (6th grader) scored the final point of the VC Chess Kids: Pawn Storm Team beating her opponent who is rated 1550 to secure the top award for the under 1600 section. Srimayi`s performance in this league: wins against, 1350 and 1550 and draws with 1550, 1500, and 1920 USCF ratings.
